    DIRECTIONS

  • In pan, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, zest, juice, water and egg. Whisk until blended.
  • Cook on med-high for 1-2 minutes while stir/beating with whisk. Continue & stirring cooking until thick and coats the back of a spoon.
  • Take off heat, add butter and stir until blended. Cool to room temperature before using as filling.
