  • 12 cupconfectioners’ sugar (plus more for rolling)
  • 12 teaspoonsalt
  • 1cup finely chopped nuts (use almonds or pecans) or 1 cupground nuts (use almonds or pecans)

  • 2cups sifted all-purpose flour

    DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Cream butter in mixing bowl.  Gradually add confectioners’ sugar and salt.  Continue creaming until light and fluffy.  Add nuts and vanilla extract.  Blend in flour gradually and mix thoroughly.
  • Shape into balls using a teaspoonful for each cookie.  Place on uncreased cookie sheet.  Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes.  Do not brown.
  • Cool slightly.  Roll cookies in additional confectioners’ sugar.
