Domino's Is Hiring a Chief Garlic Bread Taster
Do you like garlic bread? Perhaps even a little too much? Have you ever been told that you eat garlic bread like it’s your job? If you answered yes to any and all of those questions, then it’s time to get your resume prepped, because Domino’s just posted your dream job.
Recently, Domino’s Australia listed that they were looking for a new Chief Garlic Bread Taste Tester. Yes, really. According to an actual LinkedIn posting, they’re looking for “someone a little bit crunchy, but mostly warm and soft on the inside” to provide their discerning opinion about Dominos’ garlic bread. You should also show the kind of hustle and enthusiasm typical of someone “[who] has burned their fingers at least once not being able to wait for the garlic bread to cool down.”

Qualifications for the role include a minimum of five years’ experience in “garlic bread consumption” as well as “a detailed understanding of the pizza and garlic bread relationship.” Applicants should also “understand the perfect ‘crunch to softness’ ratio” and should not be a vampire, though it’s unclear if that violates any Equal Employment Opportunity laws.
As with every other job that seems to be too good to be true, there’s a catch. The job’s based in Brisbane, Australia, and Domino’s is only willing to shell out for a domestic flight to get you there. The pay is $30 (presumably Australian) an hour for 7.5 hours, which probably isn’t enough to cover the cost of any intercontinental flight to get you there. You have to write a 200 word cover letter (or record a 30 second video) explaining why you’d be a fit for the job.
Still, it’s hard to beat getting paid to literally eat garlic bread (and an included pizza lunch). And if you do what you love (eating garlic bread), you’ll never work a day in your life. Someone out there is going to achieve their dreams, it might as well be you.
