‘I work at Wetherspoons – here’s some unreal hidden menu food swaps’
Wetherspoons chef shares insight into breakfast kitchen
Macey Newberry, who is based between Leeds and Huddersfield, regularly shares all her Wetherspoons tips online including the best meals to buy and how to recreate ones at home.
The majority of her hacks involve swapping food items out or adding items to turn a usual meal into an even tastier one.
Customers can upgrade their classic curry chips into a tikka chip meal, according to Macey.
She explained: “So what you do is you get a tikka curry, or any curry of your choice, swap out your rice for chips and then tell them to put it all in one bowl.”
Macey said that although there are already curry chips on the menu, they come with chip shop curry sauce so this option is better.

The social media influencer added: “This is a real chicken curry on top of chips and it was unreal. My creation gets a solid 10 out of 10.”
Wetherspoon customers can also make up their very own kebab if they fancy that instead of anything on the menu.
Macey showed viewers how it’s done by getting garlic naan bread and topping it off with salad, roasted vegetables and chicken goujons.
She then topped her creation with some chilli sauce as well as salad dressing.

To try this meal at your local Wetherspoons, Macey said customers need to order the chicken and bacon salad with crunchy chicken before adding naan bread and roasted vegetables.
In another video, the TikTok creator showed followers how to make a burrito by wrapping up chicken strips in a pizza which she described as “absolutely unreal”.
This year has seen many Wetherspoons close their doors for good, with the most recent being The Widow Frost on Leeming Street in Mansfield.
JD Wetherspoon’s Eddie Gershon said: “There will be no redundancies, staff will be transferring to Wetherspoon pubs in Mansfield, Worksop, Sutton or Kirkby.
“We believe the premises will be closed for four, or so, months before being opened by the new owner, but we cannot confirm these details.”
Many of the chain’s pubs have also been listed for sale over the last month.
