IHOP Is Celebrating Its Birthday With 58-Cent Pancakes
A long, long time ago (in 1958, to be exact) a little restaurant chain called International House of Pancakes was born. IHOP, now 61 years young, is celebrating its birthday in the best way imaginable: with 58-cent pancakes.
Never one to do anything halfway, the pancake chain is really going all in on this ‘50s theme.
“We don’t just have 1950s prices, we’ve got 1950s lingo too,” says a Facebook post announcing the deal. “So cruise on through, daddy-o. It’s gonna be the bees’ knees. The cats’ pajamas. Totally aces.”
Done cringing? Good. Here are the details you came for: The 58-cent short stacks of Original Buttermilk pancakes are available today (July 16) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“This has been another incredible year for the IHOP brand and we’re celebrating by giving our loyal guests a can’t-beat deal on the pancakes that made us famous,” said Alisa Gmelich, Vice President of Marketing at IHOP, in a press release. “For more than six decades we’ve focused on innovation across our menu and as well as how we can bring the best all-day breakfast foods and more to millions of guests every day. Whether guests visit us at an IHOP restaurants or choose to order takeout and delivery, they’ll get the same incredible dining experience we’ve been known for since 1958.”
