“I took this casserole to a church function and it was a hit! Easy to cut in half.With medium head of cabbage and onion. Just use 1 type of soup.Cream of Celery soup can be substituted.”

  • 1 largehead of cabbage
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 16 ounces shredded cheese (your choice of sharpness)
  • 8 ouncessour cream
  • 12 cupbutter
  • 12 cupmayonnaise
  • 1 largesweet onion
  • 6 ouncesFrench-fried onions
  • salt and pepper
  • Directions

  • Chop Cabbage and onion.
  • Boil together 10 minutes.
  • Strain and put back in pot.
  • Add mayonnaise,soups, sour cream, 1/2 stick melted butter, and 8 oz. cheese.
  • Mix well.
  • Spray 10.5 X 14.5 casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Place all mixed ingredients in casserole dish.
  • Top with 8 oz shredded cheese, and French fried onions.
  • Drizzle 1/2 stick melted butter over top.
  • Bake at 325 for 30 minutes.
