McDonalds open Scotland: Which McDonalds are open in Scotland?

McDonald’s is one of Britain’s favourite fast-food chains. The burger restaurant chain reopened several branches across the UK on June 2 after being closed for more than two months. But which McDonald’s outlets exactly are opening across Scotland?

McDonald’s closed its doors temporarily in March out of safety concerns amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Recently the fast-food chain chose to begin reopening a limited number of outlets.

From May 12, McDonald’s began reopening some of its outlets on a pilot basis with an order cap as the restaurant chain aimed to adjust to smaller teams and social distancing.

Scottish fans have been waiting weeks for the chain to reopen and now they are able to buy their favourite McDonald’s meals.

McDonald’s is using a spending limit of £25 on Uber Eats and at drive-thrus to try and control the high number of orders.

Dining areas will remain closed to the public, so you can’t sit inside and eat.

The spending limit does not include the delivery fee when using Uber Eats.

McDonald’s has also suspended its click and collect service via the My McDonald’s app.

A number of additional safety measures have been introduced in all restaurants including:

Fewer people in the kitchen and service areas, serving a reduced menu over reduced hours

The use of contactless thermometers, with temperatures, checked on arrival at work

Perspex screens in key locations in the kitchen and service areas

Protective equipment for our people including gloves for customer and courier facing positions and face coverings, but not the type needed by healthcare professionals

Additional training on cleanliness practices, including increased frequency of handwashing and extra sanitising of touchpoints around the restaurant.
