McDonald’s set to reopen 40 drive-thru locations from next week

Takeaway restaurants have been allowed to stay open during the coronavirus lockdown, but many including big fast food chain McDonald’s have had to close due to safety fears. However, as the chain gets ready to open up 15 locations from tomorrow, it’s been announced that there are plenty more to follow. McDonald’s has revealed plans to open a further 40 drive-thru locations from next week.

McDonald’s bosses have now said they are planning on opening up more outlets as part of a phased reopening over the summer, according to reports in The Sun.

The company hopes to have all 900 restaurants around the UK open by early June.

The takeaway chain is opening 15 of its locations from tomorrow for delivery services only, provided by Just East and Uber Eats. 

McDonald’s has been working hard to gradually reopen its restaurants safely for both staff and customers.
