Nissin Demae Ramen Spicy Noodles

Nissin Foods GmbH has issued their Ramen Spicy Noodles product as could cause a serious health risk for those with allergies.

The product is sold in a number of supermarkets meaning shoppers should check their cupboards.

The item on sale was found to contain milk that is not mentioned in the ingredients list.

This could cause a risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk.

The mix up was caused by the incorrect seasoning sachets going into some packs, according to the Food Standards Agency website.

The affected packs are in the size 100 grams with the batch code L00623 and best before date of January 2021.

A notice from the company read: “As a precautionary measure Nissan Foods GmbH are recalling Nissin Spicy Damae Ramen with date code 01.2021, as some packs may contain the wrong seasoning sachet.

“The incorrect machetes contain milk that is not declared on the label, which means this product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constitutes.

“We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused and will ensure this doesn’t happen again.”

Anyone who has bought the item and has an intolerance to milk is being urged not to eat it.

Instead, the ramen product can be returned to the store where it was bought for a full refund.
