Holiday Homes in the Sun presenter Amanda Lamb, dropped a stone after overhauling her lifestyle. By making simple changes to her diet, her weight dropped considerably. But what did she change?
As a former model, she admitted she “waved goodbye” to her trim figure and now the mother-of-two celebrates her curves.
Over the course of her TV career, fans of Amanda have been left in awe at her changing appearance, wondering how she managed to lose the pounds.
Her health journey began after she began presenting A Place in the Sun, where she admitted the new filming routine saw her diet go out the window.
She recalled her daily diet was laden with would high-carb, stodgy meals and she would often drink alcohol.
Amanda said at the time: “I weigh around 10st 7lb. Last year I was 11st 7st, which was the heaviest I’ve ever been.
“I put on weight while filming A Place In The Sun in Europe. We’d go out boozing, and I was eating baguettes for lunch, followed by stodgy dinners.”
But she managed to get back into shape by starting a new healthy diet plan and taking up regular exercise, all of which helped her achieve her weight loss transformation.
She continued to tell Closer: “Since then, my weight has slowly returned to normal.

“I eat healthily and go to the gym four times a week.”
She added candidly: “I hate celebs who say they’re naturally skinny – I worked my butt off to look like this!”
Being active is important for anyone looking to lose weight loss or maintain their success.
According to the 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, if people eat in a calorie deficit of around 500 to 750 calories per day and regularly exercise, they can lose up to one and a half pounds (0.7kg) a week.
While studies have found that diet has a “stronger effect” on weight loss than physical activity does, the latter helps keep weight off.
By working out four times a week, Amanda has managed to keep her new slim figure.
She said: “One day I’m going to write a book about how to [lose weight].
“It will be called Eat Less; Move More. It’s not rocket science.
“My take on it is that it’s about choices and trying to use good sense.”
She revealed she’s “pretty normal” when it comes to cravings, and recognises she “isn’t one of those women who can get up at 5am to go to the gym”.
“I struggle with it,” she admitted. “I have to stop myself eating the leftover fish fingers at teatime.
“I think I’m pretty normal in that respect!” she told the Mail Online.
