A huge number of studies have shown drinking apple cider vinegar helps with weight.
The studies have found apple cider vinegar can help you to feel fuller.
One study found taking apple cider vinegar with one meal a day caused participants to eat 200 to 275 less calories.
Another study with 175 people found taking taking one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar a day led to a loss of 2.6 pounds and taking two tablespoons led to a loss of 3.7 pounds, over three months.
However, an expert writing for Mayo Clinic has claimed the drink probably doesn’t work.
Katherine Zeratsky said: “Apple cider vinegar isn’t likely to be effective for weight loss.”
She added: “There’s little scientific support for these claims.
“Studies of apple cider vinegar for weight loss have not consistently shown significant and sustainable weight loss across diverse groups of people.”

The expert added: “Remember, there’s no magic bullet for weight loss.
“Be skeptical of any approach that claims you can lose weight without decreasing calories or increasing physical activity.”
Another expert spoke with Express.co.uk and appeared to dispute these claims.
Nutritionist Lisa Borg said: “Apple cider vinegar can help a weight loss regime due to its diuretic actions that assist the elimination of excess fluids.

“It’s cleansing effects on the liver can improve the metabolism and thereby encourage the breakdown of excess fat.”
How to take apple cider vinegar
Lisa claims just one tablespoon a day could be enough to see a change.
She said it can be mixed into a glass of water and taken along with a meal.
“I recommend taking one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed into a full glass of water,” She continued.
“You should sip this mixture throughout the first half of your meal.”
When to take apple cider vinegar
Experts suggest it should be consumed one to two times a day to see results.
Both green tea and apple cider vinegar can help suppress appetite meaning it will keep you full and in turn should lead to a reduction in the number of calories you consume on a daily basis.
Studies have also suggested drinking it with a high carb meal.
