Gordon Ramsay, 54, is a restaurateur who is well known for his cooking skills and television shows. He has turned heads with an impressive 3st 8lb stone weight loss over the years.
When trying to lose weight, eating healthy and staying active is important.
Gordon has regularly updated his social media accounts to document his intensive exercise routine.
In a recent Instagram post, Gordon shared a video as he finished a workout at home on a stationary bike.
In the clip, he said: “No matter how small or big the goal is, just set one goal a day.
“Just one goal a day keeps you on top form, it may be a tiny goal but it turns into a big goal by the end of the week.”
Another recent post showed the active chef finishing a bike ride outdoors.
The caption stated: “Great afternoon 100k bike climbed a few big hills, followed with a 5k run @iamspecialized Sunday workout DONE!”
Exercise is important for those hoping to stay in shape or shed extra pounds, according to experts at Healthline.
They stated: “Combining exercise with a healthy diet is a more effective way to lose weight than depending on calorie restriction alone.
“Exercise is helpful for weight loss and maintaining weight loss. Exercise can increase metabolism, or how many calories you burn in a day.
“It can also help you maintain and increase lean body mass, which also helps increase the number of calories you burn each day.”
Before slimming down, Gordon opened up about his struggles to stay healthy working as a chef.
“Tana was not impressed with the way I was,” he previously told The Times.
“I was overweight, 18 stone. I didn’t have a figure. I didn’t feel that good.”
The chef explained eating small meals more often helped lose a few pounds.
Gordon started to eat smaller meals five times a day to boost his metabolism and give him energy.
“I’m very good now at eating five times a day, but small amounts as opposed to big breakfast, big lunch and big dinner,” he said on The Today Show.
“There’s nothing worse than eating dinner at 5.30pm and then having to get up and cook for three hours.”
Gordon added: “I like to keep on my toes and eat small bits. Almost like in Hong Kong – four or five times a day, small bowls of food.”
By doing this, the celebrity chef reportedly lost around 3st 8lb.
As well as sharing his workouts online, Gordon will often upload snaps of his healthy home cooked meals.
