Jonathan Ross, 60, will return tonight as presenter The Jonathan Ross Show, which will be broadcast at 9:30pm on ITV. Jonathan will be joined by guests Joan Collins, Brian Cox, Rob Beckett, and Duran Duran.

Jonathan is a familiar face on British TV, having hosted his own TV chat show for years.

Friday Night with Jonathan Ross came first throughout the early noughties, followed by The Jonathan Ross Show.

The latter debuted in 2011 and is still going strong today.

Last year, the comedian even appeared as a judge on ITV’s The Masked Singer.

During this time, Jonathan showed off a much slimmer physique, shocking audiences with his transformation.

Although he did not unveil which diet plan he had used to shed the pounds, Jonathan had previously shared his weight loss journey.

In 2015, the dad-of-three explained he had followed the keto diet plan to shed weight.

Speaking on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man, Jonathan he shared he had lost almost two stone.

He said: “My wife wanted to go on an eating plan so you can actually maintain it, but also really enjoy food.”

Jonathan searched the internet for weight loss motivation and came across the keto diet.

He decided to cut sugar and carbohydrates from his diet.

The actor told Alan he looked to Reddit users for tips, saying: “A lot of them were talking about a diet called Keto.

“It’s a bit like Atkins but more scientific.

“It’s mostly meat and fish, lots of egg and cheese. You have a lot of cauliflower.

“There is a lot of work involved so I watch them working quite hard in the kitchen and eat everything they’ve made.

“You can have a Nando’s but you can’t have any chips.”

Jonathan said although he is “eating loads of food”, he lost “like a stone and a half”.

But what is the keto diet?

The diet pushes the body to burn fat by putting it into a metabolic state known as ketosis.

This is when the body burns fat for energy instead of carbohydrates.

Examples of what to eat when following the keto diet are meat, fish, eggs, nuts, and healthy oils, according to Healthline.

The website also stated that there are other benefits to the keto diet – not only weight loss.

The diet can decrease the risks of heart disease, cancer, epilepsy, and Alzheimer’s disease.
