Lorraine Kelly, 62, is a TV personality best known for presenting Good Morning Britain or her own show Lorraine. The star recently lost two dress sizes following an easy and “tasty” diet.

Lorraine dropped two sizes and went from a size 14 to a 10 without a strict diet.

The presenter explained she didn’t cut down on any meal she likes.

Instead, her trick to lose weight is simply to control food portions.

She explained: “I don’t think diets work.

“My husband cooks for me and sometimes I ask, ‘How many people are coming round?’.

“Portion control and not snacking so much are important, as well as being sensible,” she said on This Morning.

Lorraine revealed she never weighs herself.

The presenter also believes healthy meal plans are easier to follow if people actually enjoy what they are eating.

She said: “I think it’s all about taking things at our own pace.

“We are all far more likely to stick to a healthy eating plan if we have proper tasty food, and won’t drop out of an exercise routine if it’s good fun.”

Lorraine’s healthy plan starts with a balanced breakfast and light lunch.

“I always have porridge and fruit for breakfast, and from now on I’m making a big pot of spicy vegetable soup at the beginning of the week that I can heat up quickly for lunch,” she told HELLO!.

However, the star makes a more elaborated breakfast during the weekend.

“Sunday breakfast is his ‘special’.

“A tower of a potato scone with bacon and black pudding and a poached egg on top,” she told Asda Good Living.

Lorraine explained: “I have learned the hard way that daft diets will ultimately make you fat.

“I do tend to eat sensibly during the week but I certainly don’t exist on sticks of celery, because I’d be miserable.

Lorraine also goes to fitness classes regularly, which help her stay in good shape.

“It’s great going to keep fit.

“But mentally it also makes me feel better,” she said.
