Rebel Wilson ‘wasn’t loving herself’ before 1,500 calorie a day diet and 5st weight loss
Rebel Wilson discusses her decision to lose weight in 2020
Rebel Wilson, 40, discussed her weight loss with Ant Middleton, Straight Talking on Sky One. She made a heartbreaking admission to the former-military man.
“I wasn’t loving myself in the way that I should from 20 to 40 – that’s 20 years,” Rebel said.
“I feel so sad that I did that to myself, just not loving yourself in the right way.”
Rebel went on: “It’s hard because I was so self-confident and don’t want to project a message to people that girls can’t be happy with themselves at bigger, plus sizes, because I was living the life.”
Shockingly, the actress told Ant she has been trolled for her weight loss efforts online.

“People go ‘you’re not the same, you’re not funny anymore’, and I’m like, ‘screw you guys’,” the actress said.
“Women (lose weight), it’s like ‘how dare she?’ Or ‘she’s trying to get a man’.”
Rebel began gaining weight at university. She told Ant how she ate to soothe her emotions.
Stress with exams could cause comfort eating, but the aspiring actress would also eat when she was feeling happy too.

This coupled with polycystic ovary syndrome caused weight gain.
Reframing her view of view helped her slim down, Rebel says.
She told Ant: “What I realise is that, it wasn’t treating myself eating 2,000 calories for dessert, that’s not treating myself, that is putting toxins in my body that I don’t need.
“Is it momentary comfort? Yes. But the next hour it’s fat and it’s not healthy for you.”
Rebel has discussed her 4.4 stone with loss in a video on her Instagram, including her 1,500 calories a day diet.
The actress became tearful in the video, speaking to her 9.3million followers.
She said: “It’s hard when I talk about the emotional stuff. It’s hard. I can do this.
“I wasn’t valuing myself and telling myself negative things. That was hard.
“I’m trying to change those patterns, so you’re more loving and treating yourself with respect.
“I’m working on self love, and that’s a hard concept to master.”
Rebel told fans she’s been eating under 1,500 calories a day while exercising “like a beast”.
She said: “Nutritionally, the only thing is I do try to stay under 1,500 calories because of my body type.
“If want to lose weight in that week, I kind of have to stay under the 1,500 each day.”
