Another study followed 19 adults who fasted for a 16 hour period and results showed significant weight loss including a smaller waist circumference.

This way of restricted eating can help visceral fat, a dangerous fat stored in the stomach that has been linked to many health problems including heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
