Weight loss: One woman shed eight stone in just 11 months – what diet plan did she use?

When trying to find the best diet plan, slimmers can get motivation from those who have already lost a few pounds. One dieter managed to shift nearly eight stone, shrinking down from 22st 1lb to 14st 2lb. She explained a low carb keto diet plan and intermittent fasting helped her beat the bulge.

Posting on Reddit, dieter “2CampingDoxies” shared pictures of her before and after losing weight.

The slimmer also revealed she is 38-years-old, 5ft 7in and that the transformation took just 11 months.

She wrote: “Today I hit wonderland so the celebration is on! Last time I saw this number was 16 years ago.”

Other Reddit users were quick to comment and ask exactly how she transformed her figure.

What diet plan did she use?

The Reddit user explained it was the keto – or ketogenic – diet that helped her slim down.

She also credited intermittent fasting for the transformation.

When asked what she did, the user replied: “Keto through 2019 then keto and IF beginning in 2020.

“Stay true to the process and believe in yourself.”

The keto diet is a low carb and high fat diet plan which has a moderate protein content.

Those following the plan are required to eat less than 25 grams of net carbs each day.

Instead, they can fill up on healthy fats including avocados, eggs, fish, nuts and oils.

When asked if she struggled with the diet, “2CampingDoxies” explained she soon adjusted to eating the foods. 

“There will be cravings and such the first week’s but you’re stronger than those,” she explained.

“There are so many products available now that you’ll have so many options if you’re craving something.

“Once your in ketosis after about three days you’ll notice your body just feels fuller. Just tell yourself one day at a time.”

The dieter also used intermittent fasting, which is a form of time-restrictive eating.

Those who follow the plan will restrict the times of day in which they eat their meals rather than focus on the types of foods they are eating. 

Some will choose an eight hour window to eat in, such as 12pm to 8pm, and they will fast for the remaining hours of the day.
