Zara showed incredible stamina at Coronation – but finds fitness hard work

Zara Tindall, who turned 42 today, could be seen struggling to stay awake at King Charles’s Coronation, after pictures showed the royal and her husband, Mike Tindall, partying until 2am the night before. Despite this, the mother of three showed herself to have incredible stamina when she turned up to the ceremony the next day in full hair and makeup and wearing a bespoke Laura Green coatdress.

What diet does Zara follow?

Zara Tindall has a terrific physique and always wears the sharpest outfits when she is seen in public.

The royal has addressed how she maintained her exercise routine and weight loss after having three children.

She spoke about this on her husband Mike Tindall’s YouTube programme.

Zara acknowledged that returning to an exercise schedule after giving birth to three babies could be “difficult” at times.

Zara and her husband had an open conversation about the difficulties of “getting her body back” after giving birth to three children on his YouTube series, Mike Drop.

The daughter of Princess Anne appeared in Mike’s first episode of the show, in which she spoke candidly about parenting and how challenging it was to resume exercising after being pregnant.

Mia, Lena, and Lucas are the three children that Zara and Mike have. After giving birth to her eldest daughter, the royal described the feeling of getting back on a horse.

She said: “It was hard getting your body back when you’ve been riding for 25 years, and then your body is just completely not doing that.

“Your muscles [are] doing nothing and stretching and creating an amazing thing but it’s completely different.

“Trying to get your body back to where it was, I found, was hard work.”

Zara claimed that her first daughter Mia “was along for the ride as well”. The royal continued: “She was very much taken around to the shows, which is kind of easier when you have one.

“I found it hard getting myself back to it. Mentally, you feel guilty as a mother leaving your child to go and do something else.”

Following the birth of her eldest child Mia in 2014, Zara discussed her nutrition in an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine.

She explained that she used the exercise bike at her house after eating a breakfast consisting of Greek yoghurt and honey at 7am.

The royal admitted that she avoided two food groups for lunch in order to maintain her weight and health.

Zara added: “Lunch is quick and simple, like soup and a sandwich or eggs and toast.

“I don’t diet but I try to eat well and not to eat too many carbohydrates or sugary things.”

Regarding dinner, it appears that Zara and Mike eat together as a family and are not averse to occasionally consuming certain fatty meals.

A picture of the family enjoying what appeared to be massively piled burgers with double beef patties, bacon, lettuce, and melted cheese within sesame burger buns was posted on Mike’s Instagram.

Mike captioned the photo saying: “Trying the @macandwild build yours at home and pretty happy with how they look!!! Get in my belly!!”
