Basic Tomato Sauce
- 1/4 cup EVOO
- 2 Onions, Minced
- 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 tbsp Dried Thyme
- 2-28 oz cans Whole Peeled Tomatoes, Crushed By Hand
- To Taste Salt
Heat EVOO in pot over medium heat.
Add onion to pot and cook until soft and just starting to brown.
Add garlic to the pot and heat for 1-2 minutes more.
Add thyme to pot and cook another 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes, including the juice, to the pot and bring to a boil stirring often.
Reduce heat and simmer sauce for 30 minutes.
Season with salt to your liking and sauce is ready.
