Besan barfi

It’s Indian sweet dish , specially prepared during festive season.


  1. 2 cup Gram flour
  2. 1/2 cup Rava / semolina
  3. 1 cup (2 tbsp) if required) Ghee
  4. Chopped dry fruits
  5. 1 cup Powdered sugar
  6. 1 tsp Cardamom powder


  1. Add gram flour in a pan, roast it 10 o 15 min. Then add semolina and roast again for 5 – 10 min on medium heat

  2. The add ghee 1 cup and mix it well

  3. Add chopped dry fruits and mix it well

  4. Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder and mix it well and let cook on low flame

  5. If the mixture is too dry add little ghee and mix itwell

  6. Turn off the flame, pour the mixture in pan, let it set for 3-4 hours

  7. Cut the burfi in the shape you like
    It is ready to serve
