Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb Breakfast Sausage
  2. 10 Eggs, Beaten
  3. 3 cups Milk
  4. 2 tsp Dry Mustard
  5. 1 tsp Salt
  6. 6 cups Cubed Bread
  7. 2 cups Cheddar Cheese
  8. 1/2 tsp Pepper
  9. 1/2 cup Green Onion, Thinly Sliced (Optional)
  10. 1 Tomato, Seeded and Chopped (Optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 325.

  2. Brown sausage in a large skillet over med-high heat till crumbled and cooked through.

  3. In a large bowl combine eggs, milk, dry mustard & salt. Stir well to combine.

  4. In a buttered 9 X 13 baking dish put half the bread in the bottom.

  5. Sprinkle bread with half the pepper. Then evenly add half of the cheese, sausage & any of the optional items.

  6. Make another layer using the other half of the bread, pepper, cheese, sausage & optional items.

  7. Pour egg mixture evenly over the entire dish then place into heated oven.
