Churro!

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup water
  2. 1/2 cup butter
  3. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  4. 1 cup all purpose flour
  5. 3 beaten eggs (Edit: use 2 eggs?)
  6. Vegetable oil used for frying
  7. 1/4 cup sugar
  8. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps

  1. Grab a saucepan

  2. On the saucepan, mix your water, butter, and salt. Bring it to a boil over high heat

  3. Stir in the flour and reduce the heat to low

  4. Stir until mixture forms a ball (Usually takes a minute)

  5. Remove dough from heat

  6. Gradually beat the eggs into your dough

  7. Grab a heavy, high-sided pot

  8. Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in your pot at medium-high heat until oil reaches 360F (about 182.222C)

  9. On a plate, mix the sugar with the cinnamon

  10. Grab a piping bag and pour the dough into it

  11. Squeeze a 4 inch strip and place it into the oil

  12. Repeat step 11 until you have no more dough

  13. Turn each churro onto the other side once for two minutes per side until golden brown

  14. Place your churros onto plate with paper towels on top

  15. When your churros are cooled, roll them in your sugar mixture

  16. Enjoy!
