Rosemary-Garlic Beer Bread

Active Time: 5 MinsTotal Time1 Hour 15 Mins
Yield: 12 (1/2-inch thick) slices

Beer bread is, without a doubt, the shortcut to end all shortcuts. There’s no need to activate any yeast, no rise time, and it requires shockingly few ingredients. It almost seems like cheating. How could it possibly get any easier, you ask? Enter: Homemade Bisquick. Our all-purpose baking mix, which you can mix up in mere minutes, cuts down on ingredients and time. Of course, you can always use store-bought Bisquick. We won’t tell.

We used rosemary, garlic, and a few other herbs and spices to amp up the flavor a bit (OK, a lot—this bread packs a garlicky punch), but you can make your beer bread experience as simple or as complex as you like. Feel free to customize this recipe with Cheddar cheese, onions, jalapenos, or anything else you have laying around your kitchen.
