Ingredients
- Main:
- 4 pieces Crabs
- Sliced Ginger
- 3 cups Sprite soda
- 1 cup Water
- pinch Salt
- pinch Ground black pepper
- Dipping Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons White Vinegar
- 2 cloves Garlic
- pinch Salt
- pinch Ground black pepper
- 1 piece Red chili
Steps
BOILING THE CRAB: Heat your skillet on high heat. Add 3 cups of Sprite soda and 1 cup of water. Add the ginger slices followed by the crabs. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cover with the lid and let it boil. (Don’t worry if you start to see foam in the boiling water; it’s normal.)
When you see the top shell becomes orange in color, it’s time to flip.
Splash some liquid on the crabs to remove the foam residue then flip them one by one. Cover with the lid again and boil for another 5-10 minutes. Then, remove the crabs from the skillet and set aside.DIPPING SAUCE: Crush the garlic and put it in a bowl, removing its skin. Add around 3 tablespoons of white vinegar. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and a red chili if you want. ©homebasedchef
