Sweet iced tea
I’ve drank iced tea every single day of my life. I’m from the south, I’ve lived all over the Deep South, I still live in the Deep South and it’s just what I drink. Aside from water, coffee and adult beverages, this is it. I make 2 gallons of tea everyday and I have done this for decades.Who does it right? Who does it wrong? You do it the way you like it, and this is mine.
- 2 family size tea bags of choice, per gallon
- 1 1/3 cups sugar, per gallon
In a 2 quart saucepan, fill with water and add your 2 teabags. Bring to a full boil then take off the heat. I usually let it steep for at least 30 minutes, only because I’m busy doing something else.
Pour concentrated steeped tea in a one gallon pitcher. Add 1 1/3 cups sugar to the pitcher and stir. Add enough cold water to fill the pitcher and stir. Keep refrigerated.
