Uduk Rice With Chicken(Indonesian Steam Rice With Chicken)

I was confused what to cook for dinner, i wanted only simple food and easy to cook but delicious. So came on my mind “Nasi Uduk ” . It is Indonesian food, and when i was still in Jakarta i ate this very often. And sometimes i cooked by my self. So this evening i made this simple food for my dinner ๐Ÿ™‚ so here the recipe i share , hope u guys like it ๐Ÿ™‚


  1. Chicken breast
  2. 2 cups Japanese rice
  3. 5 cloves garlic (grated)
  4. 2 Indonesian bay leaves
  5. 3 orange leaves
  6. Coconut milk
  7. 1 tbs chicken powder
  8. 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  9. Water
  10. Lemong grass


  1. Wash n cut chicken breast in to small pieces (cube is better) and marinade. I bought chicken which has been marinade from supermarket

  2. Heat extra virgin olive oil, grated garlic until fragrant, add chicken and fry it until brown all over. Set aside

  3. Mix well coconut milk, chicken powder and water in another bowl

  4. Wash and draining the rice, and put the uncooked rice into the rice cooker, add lemonggrass, bay leaf, orange leaf, Chicken and fill up with Mixed coconut milk water n chicken powder untill the third line and mix well, close the cover of rice cooker and press cooking

  5. After 20 minutes cooking, stir the rice so that all ingredients are evenly mixed and then cover again and wait untill done

  6. After cooking leave it for about 10 more minutes

  7. Serve rice with chrispy fried chicken, crackers, sambal and cucumbar, and enjoy it ๐Ÿ™‚
